Middle School Band

Pine Tree Middle School Band consist of 6th grade. This is the beginning and root of the band program
and is directed by Dr Richard Holsomback jholsomback@ ptisd.org. 

Previously, Pine Tree Middle School included two separate bands for 6th grade and 7th grade. With the 7th grade moving to the Junior High in Fall, 2008, 6th grade band now represents Pine Tree Middle School.

2001-2002:
The 6th grade band placed 6 Band Students in the Texas Music Educators Region 4 All-Region Band 25 Gold, First Division, Superior Medals at Pine Tree Invitational Solo/Ensemble Competition, Straight First Division Superior Ratings at Sandy Lake Band Contest in their Beginner year, May 2001. The 7th grade made Straight First Division Superior Ratings at American Class Band Contest held at the Meyerson Symphony Center, May 2002 Outstanding Merit Trophy, Best in Class Performance Award, American Classic Band Contest at the Meyerson Symphony Center First Middle School In East Texas to Perform at the Meyerson Symphony Center in Dallas, May 2002. We are looking forward to another great year with both bands.
